Requiem for Arrested Development

Requiem for Arrested Development
A poem by Benjemin Jenkel

You were my best friend, Arrested Development.

And now you are gone.

I can't help but remember all those times you and I stayed up late listening to records and playing Nintendo in your parents basement.

And now you are gone.

In season two I watched your struggle to preserver through all the bad ratings, and you did only to be cut down in season three.

So young, So young!

America didn't deserve you.

You were too smart for them, and they didn't understand you.

But I did.

FOX didn't love you!

But I do!

If I owned a network I would name it after you.

I would call it ADD or AD TV, and your brilliance would never go off the air.

You were my best friend, Arrested Development.

You made me laugh, You made me cry.

Why? Why God did you have to take my best friend away from me!?

This is my final plea,

For the love of all that is good and right in this world someone please pick up this show!!

Thank you.

Great post, Ben. I literally laughed out loud (LLOL).

The rumor mill is that ABC offered them a 13-episode deal, and Showtime offered them a 2-year, 12-episode a year deal. Mitchell Hurwitz has until mid-June to make a decision.

Then again, that might all be bull crap. At least we can hope.

Awesome, hopefully they get picked by someone who knows how to treat them right.

I'd treat them right, but I can't afford them.

Any bets that Ben didn't actually write this? There were no spelling errors at all.

HAHAHA! Your name IS spelled wrong.

And that's probably the one thing you wrote! Damn, Ben. You never cease to amaze me.

Oh, Christ. This is ridiculous.

I remember on my page once, when he spelled his name 'Beenjamin.'
